Following an increase in the number of cases of COVID-19 in the borough of Oldham and a thorough risk assessment, we have decided to reinstate visiting restrictions at Hulton Care Home.
For the safety of our residents and dedicated team members, Hulton Care Home will be closed to visitors for the foreseeable future.
The local authority has introduced a series of measures to slow the rate of infection. These include asking care homes in the area not to ease visiting restrictions.
This decision will be reviewed on 14th August in-line with the latest government, local authority, and public health guidance, and will be based on a thorough risk assessment.
BBC News has produced a detailed graph showing the rapid increase in cases in the week to 24th July. You can view the graph by clicking here.
We know this will come as a disappointment to many, but we must do everything we can to protect those in our care.
We will work hard to keep you both informed and in touch with your loved ones via email, letters, phone, video calls, and this webpage.
Once again, we want to thank you for your understanding at this very difficult time.
